Roger, I live (in case you didn't know) in a Banana Republic known as Louisiana and everything comes to my shop by boat. You have to make huge payoffs to every barge operator and raft pusher from Shreveport south. Last shipment of spruce cost me $140, twelve sacks of crawfish, four coons, a pint of mosquito repellent, and a gallon of gumbo. Anything north of Shreveport IS Canada! The last time I ordered bass strings the guy at the Atchafalaya swamp wanted my wife or no bass strings.... The bass in that Steinway sounded GREAT!! ;) lance -----Original Message----- From: owner-pianotech@ptg.org [mailto:owner-pianotech@ptg.org]On Behalf Of Roger Jolly Sent: Monday, October 25, 1999 10:04 AM To: pianotech@ptg.org Subject: Re: Source spruce shim material >names/addresses of suppliers or know of someone closer than Canada for this? >Unlike Kevin (below), I don't have to have it longer than 5 feet. >Thanks! > Hey Lance, What's up with the bi lateral free trade agreement? <g> Roger Roger Jolly BaldwinYamaha Piano Centre Saskatoon and Regina Saskatchewan, Canada. 306-665-0213 Fax 652-0505
