Les.. I did a set of these a yr or so ago. the masking tape was old and had eaten down into the plastic. I used every solvent I could find...inclluding laquer thinner. The type of plastic will determine if you can use that stuff. in any case I ended up prying the stuff off with a razor blade. Then I had to sand down the tops using smaller and smaller grit. Finally finished with a buffer. A lot of work, but a nice new looking set of keys.
