Hi Jay, The B-flat2 is a significant clue. Try isolating the problem by moving, and even removing the B-flat action parts individually (key, wippen, damper, hammer) while listening for changes. The bridle wire could be loose or touching another wire or there could be a hidden foreign object among the action parts. When you lifted the hammer, did your hand also touch the muffler rail? A very convenient screw at the bass end of the muffler rail allows one to remove the rail without disconnecting the spring and bass side pivot. This screw is easy to overlook and can buzz heartily if loose. Good luck, and let us know what you find. -Mike Jorgensen Jay Mercier wrote: > I'm having trouble finding the buzz on a new Yamaha U1.
