Brian,

I don't know if anyone in your area offers this service, but I understand
that there are businesses out there that can take apart an unco-operative
hard drive, remove the disk and retrieve the data that is undamged.

Could be worth checking out....I found out about this a week after my drive
died and was replaced. The old one was tossed out.....with lots of stuff I
really would have liked to retrieve
