Well, if it had 2 pedals, then it's gonna be quite a bit older.  Probably
from the 1960's to mid 1980's.  I agree that these "gray-market" pianos are
problematic, in that even the USA-market Japanese pianos (3 pedal grands)
from this era were also problematic.  Both Yamaha, and Kawai have continued
to improve the quality of their products, and I believe that these
improvements also carry over to their new "Japanese Market" pianos also.

I'm just trying to say that not EVERY graymarket piano is trash.  I'm
actually pretty fond of several of the newer (10 years old or newer) ones
that have "migrated" to the USA.  These aren't 2 pedal jobs like you
mentioned, however, because the newer Japanese market pianos have been 3
pedal for a while now.
