Interesting. The CA glue won't work in acid conditions. However, isn't 
"rock solid" too tight in this case? Suppose you want to turn them back off, 
or further on, to change the back check height? 

Perhaps there's some happy medium for tightness. Suppose you just pull them 
off, glue size with CA, let harden, and then turn them back on?
