---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment I haven't yet been to a convention, but unless I was already bringing a piano I wouldn't be too inclined to bring many large items very far. I do like the idea of a web-based surplus shop, though. For instance, the www.ptg.org site could set up an automated classified section either public, or private like the Schaff or International Piano Supply sites. This could be more current than monthly advertising in the journal, and it would remove some of the volume from this list. Additionally, a periodic email listing could be sent out to subscribers. In the case of dismantling, it wouldn't solve what to do with the rest of the instrument but it could keep us aware of what is and isn't generally needed so we can keep our eyes peeled.
