Hi Don, I did feel it; felt smooth but not "soapy" like, more like any finished wood. Another thing I forgot to mention was that the usual notching indications were not that prevalent, almost not there. Next time I service it, I'll take a picture and maybe even learn how to use my scanner. Seeing that bridge made me wonder why bridges are lubricated, with graphite or whatever.
