I just saw a report on the Nightly Business Report regarding a
new piano being rolled out by Yamaha. They say that it will have
a price tag of $333,000.00, making it the worlds most expensive
retail piano. So far only three have been made.

According to the report, it is a disklavier model that contains a
voice recognition chip. The owner can command the piano to
select and play music by simply asking it to do so. The reporter
said that the music was stored on a DVD disk. Perhaps they are
using this format because these disks can store a much larger
amount of data than a normal CD ROM?? They also said the piano
is hand made from scratch and features a rosewood and oak case.

Has anyone heard of this or knows any details? No word on when
it will be offered at dealers.
