SAT users only

HAve ANY of you SAT users ever changed the battery yourself? If so, did you
also replace the "capacitor"? Also, The little plastic "rivets" that hold
the SAT case together...can those be removed and re-used? I hesitate
removing them until I know. I would prefer to replace the battery myself, or
have an electronic spcialist solder a new one in place, if possible. I don't
relish the idea of spending $30 each way for next day shipping, plus $75.00
for the basic service, and another $30.00 for the battery...not to mention
the BIGGEST negative: Being without my SAT for at least a week! If my ONLY
option is to send it to Inventronics, then so be it. But I thought I would
ask other SAT owners about this first.
