About ten years ago I was scheduled to tune in one of those windowless auditorium type lecture halls in the Dow Science Center here at CMU. I entered the massive dark room and was feeling around for the lights beside the door. What I thought was one of those sliding type dimmer switches turned out to be the fire alarm. Fortunately I was treated graciously. -Mike
