Australasian Convention, last day - cheap registration

Hi list,

Just thought I'd mention that April 30 is the final day of early (ie. 
cheaper) registration for the July Australasian Piano Technicians 
Convention in Sydney.

Some of you may already be aware that Overs Pianos has designed a new 
grand piano action (patent pending). This action will be on display at 
the convention. You can view a jpeg file (shown 'at rest' and 'at check')

Working models of this action have been developed with an upweight of 43 
gm with a 52 gm downweight (using a 10.5 gm Abel hammer) - which 
translates to just 5 gms of lost friction. The first production Overs 
action will be fitted to a new modified Samick SG225. This piano will be 
on display at the Sydney July Convention. Come along to play and compare 
this new Overs equipped Samick piano with Bosendorfer, Steinway and 
Yamaha grand pianos.

For those of you from outside Australia, please note that the Aussie 
dollar has devalued recently by 10% against other currencies 
(particularly the US$). Attending an Australian convention has never been 
cheaper. I will be presenting two class on the design features of our 
action. Del Fandrich will be presenting several classes on soundboard 
design and many other aspects of piano technology.
