Almost but not quite.  As you can see here, each scale begins with a major
second.  The intervals are (M = major, m = minor):

Major scale:         M2  M3  P4  P5  M6  M7  P8
Pure minor scale:  M2   m3  P4  P5   m6  m7  P8

And of course we've made no mention of the harmonic or melodic minor yet.
