There is some stuff you can purchase at Ace hardware call Plastidip. It's
used for coating the handles on tools.......pliers, screw drivers...etc.....
Comes in black,yellow red or blue. With multiple applications to your tuning
hammer handle, you might get the desired affect. I think I paid $9 bucks for
a 14.5 oz can.
