Yamaha P-2 car polish?

I serviced a piano today that was a Yamaha P-2 High gloss ebony. They Have 
been using Mcquires (SP?) car polish and it looks terrible. I tried using 
corys high gloss polish but it isn't mixing well and it is going on blotchy. 
What do I do to get the finish to look right again? Anyone?
