Inharmonicity is a function of the stiffness of the wire which is a
function of length and tension. A change in wire formulation will
not have an appreciable effect on Inh. It may be measurable but no
one could hear the difference.

Tone duration is a function of the spring quality of the string.
Lowering the tensile strength of the wire can effect sustain.
Since many pianos have breaking percentage in the 60 to 70% range
in the treble any appreciable lowering of strength will increase
breakage likelihood.

We would not use antique style wire to string a modern piano. The
reverse is done, out of ignorance of wire quality, but the tone
does change in this instance because the tensile strength is
substantially lower.

Small changes are not likely to be notable until getting into a
truly compromised area.
