Hi Richard,

I think that CA glue more or less *freezes* the wood fibers into place. I
believe that most of the loosening of pins comes from variations of the
woods humidity content. CA glue is vapour proof. I still think that
humidity control should be recommended on almost all pianos in almost all
circumstances.

I bet like me you can hardly wait for the journal on CD so truely
comprehensive searches can be done.

There is already an index available--I don't know if you got it at the 2000
convention or not. I could place a copy at a file sharing site if you don't
have it.
