I really like Joplin. Wolfgang might be a bit too formal sounding for a dog.
On the other hand, he could be "Wolfy". How about Duke (as in Ellington)?
I'm sure there are other dogs named Duke, so it's not the most original.
Many of the great jazz guys had fun names, so you might find some there.
E.g. "Art", "Mingus", "Blakey". I could imagine a cool dog named "Coltrane".
I'd like to think that I'd have the nerve some day to name a dog
"Thelonius". Apparently I didn't for my current dog. Or how about something
like "Sharpy"? That's fun. Or "Ebony".

Wow, this is fun. I think I'll keep "Sharpy" on hand for if I have another
dog (I've got my hands full with my current dog so I'm not in a hurry).
