Another "tradition" which should be dismissed...

Slotted repetition lever upstop screws (drop screws) which have a slot for 
a small screw driver.
The 'tab' variety are much easier to position the 'drop screw' driver. It's 
a no brainer...

I do not see a need for the 'slotted' type. Having worked on many actions,
there have been failure rates on both types in equal amounts.

Where the 'tab' type is effortlessly adjusted, the 'slot' type requires 
some investigation (takes longer).
I'm surprised the man'f'r's haven't had this light dawn on them.

The only thing I see perpetuating this inconvenience is "tradition".

Don't go against that...

I'm a known up-start so it is no surprise that I'd be complaining about 
this known up-stop.
