Tuning Levers and Pins

After reading some responses, I failed to mention one
detail.  

The tuning lever that I am currently using does not
grip the tuning pins.  I have a C. Kurtzman & Co
upright piano at home and I have tuned a Baldwin
spinet and another upright with no problems.  

But on this particular upright, I place the tuning on
the pins and it's like I have "to large of a socket."

Thoughts?
