Has anyone come across one which had obviously been tightened too much, in a
desperate attempt to restore crown? I believe I did a few years ago, it had
a very strange response. Very weak with poor sustain in the bass and upper
treble, but very loud with poor sustain in the center. Downbearing and crown
measured out to be more than average, on a '20's piano!
