What do you mean by compromised? A CA treatment is a stop gap fix at best. 
The pin block was compromised to begin with. With this kind of fix, the pins 
are going to feel different. The only thing good about a CA treatment is that 
the pins will hold. How good they hold, what kind of torque you get, and 
anything else, is a compromise.
