virus on me

I have noted many virus alerts over the last couple of years
whilst on the piano tech. list.  This week, right after I had high speed

internet installed by local phone co., a virus appeared on my
system. ( PE. magistr.B) At turn on. Seems like such a coincedence,
but the installer is adamant that there is no possibility that they were

in anyway responsible. They claim that this virus was on my system
for 2 months. I guess that's probably correct, but certainly seems
like too much of a coincedence!!. Interested in comments??.
I paid for the repair, but lost much information I had gathered over
time.
Took the better part of the week to get this thing running. Must
learn a lot of new stuff. Hopefully the trouble it caused will be worth
it.    Sure is quick now. Had very slow dial - up before.
