Hi Stephen,
You have a gold mine of opportunities with this Ricca piano of yours. It
seems like it exhibits almost every kind of problem one often sees with the
very old ( including me ) <G>
Two ways to look at it. One would be it ain't broke so leave it alone.
Or lower the pitch a little, say a step, and try to tap the pin in with a
brass rod. You can sometimes tell if the pin is working out by looking to
see if the tops of the bridge pins have been filed off to make them level.
By taking the second approach you will learn on your own without  hurting a
thing as anything that you do will be fixable <G>
Gald to see that you did not tale my earlier advice and have a barbecue.
