Hi Richard,
Blanketed and stuffed in a container, then shipped on a
boat. Trucked from Vancouver.B.C.
They arrived just fine. Better than some pianos that we recieve in crates.
Music desk and props were padded and tied down.
The following work was needed on all 3 grands.
Sound board cracks shimmed. After the pressure ridges open up.
Sound boards needed refinishing. I have never seen boards as black and
'gritty' on a 25yr old piano.
This I put down to industrial polution.
Restrung and repinned.
Damper underlevers repinned. The leads became loose after the 1 yr period,
Tighten leads.
New damper guides, and damper felt.
New hammers and shanks.
About 8hrs of work on the wippens, repinning, cleaning spring and slots,
change wip cloth.
Rebush keys
The cases were in good condition.and needed very little work.
tuning reg and voicing.
