When the PTG convention was in St. Louis, 1988, I think, there was a forum
for s similar group of people. Local dealers and teachers were asked to come,
hosted by the manufacturers and the PTG. Unfortunately, only one dealer
showed up, (out of a possible 6), and less than a dozen teachers, out of a
possible 100. There weren't even that many techs, since the forum was held at
the same time as regular classes.

I know some cities these kind of programs have met with some success. But
unfortunately, there never seems to be enough discussion between the four
piano disciplines, teachers, dealers, manufacturers and technicians. We could
learn a lot from each other, if only given a chance.
