For the back checks, if you want them moved forward, use a front rail pin
turning tool, and bend the back check wire forward, putting pressure as close
to the where it goes in the wippen. If you need to bend it backwards, take a
screw driver blade, and hold the back check from the top, while depressing
the key. (Don't do either one if the parts are plastic).

Are you talking about adjust the spoons, or the dmapers when you press on the
pedal?

To adjust the spoons, ff you have to adjust all them, you can either try to
get good with a spoon bender, or remove the action and bend the spoons with a
damper wire bending tool. Find one damper that is adjusted right. With the
action on the bench. push the damper rail forward with a screw driver, so
that when you push up on the wippen, the correctly adjusted damper just
barely winks. Then adjust the rest of the spoons to make all the dampers wink
at the same way.

If you have to adjust just one or a couple of spoons, you can use the key
itself to make that adjustment. To get a damper to activate sooner, you want
to move the spoon towards the damper lever. Disconnect the bridle strap and
the sticker. Now push the wippen down. The flange screw will push the spoon
towards the damper lever. To get a damper to active later, hold the damper
with your finger, and forcefully play the key. This will move the spoon away
from the lever. (Again, don't try this with plastic parts.)

To adjust the dampers so that they all move at the same time with the pedal,
use an offset damper wire tool, and bend the wires as needed. BTW, this
procedure has to be done before adjusting spoons.
