Yes... well thats one opinion Dan. There are quite a few out there that express
another opinion. I personally dont find anything particular pleasing about a
front duplex tuned to a octave or a 5th or variants.... ends up sounding like a
whistle in nothing flat.  Much nicer tone quality is achieved when the duplex is
detuned as a host of technicians have touted these past years. Tone quality is a
subjective matter. As far as Sustain....... I fail to see any proof anywhere
that the "tuned" duplex in itself increases sustain.
