  Only the first time.   Replace the pin so it can be removed by pulling =
it towards the middle of the room.  The piano needn't be moved.

       I wonder if most of the piano makers put the lid prop,on a grand, =
where they did on purpose,to make it impossible to get a good hammer =
angle while tuning.It's easy going till the last octave,trying to tune =
around the lid prop.(especially in a church where the piano is boxed =
in,and the treble end is against a wall).=20
