Stubborn Bushings inquiry

The likelyhood is that those bushings were installed with some kind of
"Thermal-set" type glue. Try jus heat. I rigged an olde style soldering iron
with a piece of round brass stock with the end ground to the configuration
of the bushing hole. Put the whole thing on a rheostat, to control the heat,
and voila'. It pretty much scorches the bejeebers out of the olde cloth, but
who cares as long as it doesn't pull wood with it.
