I never found the source of the problem, but I regulated the action so it
played with good response.   Your suggestion that something fell on the
black keys is possible, however the lowest CDEF and one octave above were
also low.  Nothing was broken and the glue joints all were holding.
    There is a sticker with an adjustment groumet  that allowed me to take
up the =8Clost motion=B9 which raised the level of the keys.  If you haven=B9t
seen the action of the Yamaha Celesta, you will feel very comfortable.  The
action has felt  hammers, whippens etc.
