Wim,

I've used the end of one of those split rubber mutes (the ones with the
spring steel handle, Schaff #204, p. 33.). It should be about the right
width, but you can grind it to size if necessary. Loosen the bushing with
the steel end, and it can be removed with tweezers.

Subject: Kawai bushings

I am trying to rebush the balance rail of a 30 year old Kawai Studio. The
bushing are folded under the button. What is the trick to get the felt out
from under the button?

Wim
