hi list you guys have probab;y done this already, but for most of my decals i use a friend who owns a sign business. the latest decal he made for me , besides the usual lettering, included a row of large medalions and a coat of arms. he scanned the fallboard sample into the computor, spent some time tiding up the picture, and then send the info to printer called and edger that used heat to transfer the image to the gold vinyl. the result was amazing. the new decal was the exact replica of what was there before. you could even read the words on the medalions. it may not be cost effective for some jobs, but where the replication is important, it works for me. this fellow now has a library of my decals from hard to find pieces and now i can just phone him up and he prints and cuts them, usually on the spot. if you are computor literate, you could scan the fallboard and e'mail the info to your guy and he could take it from there, while you get on with the joyful job of stripping wayne
