Hi Roy. I service an on Chickering grand that usually has one or two broken shanks each time I tune it. For this piano, I have ordered old style Steinway 15.75 mm shanks from Schaff. These are the same as Renner #913021. Renner only sells in complete sets. Schaff will sell one or more. They will come with a wooden flange - just push out the pin and toss.

Last time this guy bought a dozen shanks, so that he will have the parts for each time we tune!
