       Use one mute, have a pattern to moving your hand back and forth 
between mute and hammer, waste no time on decisions closer than half the 
pitch raise itself ie, if you have a 20 cent raise and you whack one string 
10 cents sharper than your machine tells you, leave the next one about the 
same amount flat. The average will put you right on target for cumulative 
tension and you can then spend the hour or so it takes to tune on tuning.
