For Sale: six pheumatic soundboard rib-to-panel press clamps - brand new, never used. Contact: Terry Farrell P.S. I've got a bunch of glass from old fish tanks - do you think that is ok to use? Seriously though, anything this radical MUST be looked at. Antares? Anyone else over thar in north-central Europe able to check this stuff out? And why would they use a glue for gluing it in and gluing the bridges to the soundcrystal that remains elastic? Wouldn't that just tend to dampen the sound? Such a soundcrystal would add new meaning to the concern of: "Are there any cracks in the soundboard?" And if you were to clean the strings, you would have to clean both sides! Just think of the $$$ you could make cleaning soundcrystals! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Don" <pianotuna@accesscomm.ca> To: <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Friday, April 26, 2002 3:28 PM Subject: sound board material > Hi, > > Glass sound boards anyone? > > http://www.stemco.nl/engels/index.html > > Regards, > Don Rose, B.Mus., A.M.U.S., A.MUS., R.M.T., R.P.T. > > mailto:pianotuna@accesscomm.ca > http://us.geocities.com/drpt1948/ > > 3004 Grant Rd. > REGINA, SK > S4S 5G7 > 306-352-3620 or 1-888-29t-uner >
