Check the bearing, the bridge condition and the tightness of the bridge pins. Rescale or have someone rescale the bass for you. Remove all the old strings (1/2 turn method) and do any bridge repairs. Restring with the new scaled set and you will have a very nice sounding piano. Far better than when new. Newton
