You might try lemon oil. Leave it on the paint over night. Schmoo it off with ultra fine steel wool, or scrape it very carefully with a razor blade, or rub it with leather soaked in paint thinner. What ever you do might affect the poly finish but you have to get the paint off. Then the finish can be touched up hopefully with a polyester finish touch up kit.
