Hi Ric,
                You are behind the times, Pocket RCT, the lap top is gone, 
the iPac is supper convenient   and very  user friendly. Instant turn 
on.  Used with Spurlock's jig it will never scratch a plate.
A friend of mine and I did some side by sides with the sat3 in the high 
treble, we both agree, no contest.  The fact that the i PAC and jig can be 
placed on a high treble tuning pin, allows it to really get a reading on 
the top notes, of verticals.
AS for the tuning, not a Hill of beans difference.  Both are great 
machines. But the i PAC/ RCT is a lot less money.
We both agreed that sampling, to calculate a tuning was a little faster 
with the RCT Pocket.  First with sampled with our own machines then we 
switched.
Display was the major difference for both of us.  I like RCT's spinner, he 
likes the lights. It's what you get used to I guess.
