Bridge notching

Hi Ron,

Thank you for the very specific data on wood.  More informative than
what I said.

Knotching is like knots, knowing, knabe and other "k" type words. :)

I remember now, Barfendorfer notches so the notch is at the tangent is
at the tail side of the pin so that sinking makes the termination at the
center of the bridge pin.  So, the wood they use is softer than what I
would like to use for myself.

I am not surprised about the bridge needing recapping.  Have fun making
all those little loops. :)

I do have a question: does density necessarily equate to pin holding and
suitability for bridges?

How would some of the other exotic woods work, lignum vetea, ebony,
rosewood?
