Give Shcaff a call. I think (???????) they bought up a bunch of left =
over Kimball stuff. I think I bought a couple kimball strings from them =
a while back. But I could be wrong. Otherwise, just have them make 'em =
up. I think the only danger is that the new string might sound better =
than a Kimball string! Or better yet, might this not be a proper =
application of a universal bass string?

  Subject: Kimball bass strings

Hi all: Is there a source for Kimball bass strings (actually a Whitney =
spinet) or am I a going to have to have them made up by Schaff or Mapes? =
I don't know if there is anyone still doing Kimball tech support. Any =
suggestions before I rip out the offending string? Thanks, Patrick =
