Dick; You have gotten good answers so far. There is one other thing to consider also. The damper heads on 'most' of the screw-in Chickerings are also also threaded at the damper head. If there are just a few dampers that need changing you might want to consider just screwing the head off, changing felts and screwing the heads back on. I like adjustability of the ole chickering screw heads, particuarly the side to side adjustability. Jim Bryant (FL)
