Steinert question

Greetings all,
These questions are initially geared to rebuilder types but are
certainly open to comments from everyone. It was just offered to me to
purchase a 6' Steinert grand for the price of 2 tunings a year for the
next 5 years. These will be performed on the customers new piano once he
gets it. I will be helping him find a new (to him) piano a little
smaller than his present one (the Steinert). He has specifics for what
he is looking for which should prove to make the search quite
interesting.
My questions are; What experiences have you had with the Steinert
brand? This appears to be a piano quite worth rebuilding with a very
heavy case, thick rim, and among other items individual aliquot bars for
a tunable duplex. I'm curious as to what kind of value one might place
on this 20's vintage piano in need of refinishing, a pin block and
perhaps a soundboard along with an action overhaul. Can anyone come up
with gross estimates of before and after values? Did I (pay) too much or
is this the incredible find I think it is?
