Hi Phil and all,

Me either - it's amazing how many press folk manage to get piano
images around the wrong way. I'll try to remember that the treble is
on the Australian steering wheel side Terry. Thank you for your
thoughts.

At the 1996 Sydney International Piano Competition both Kawai and
Steinway were of course represented along with the big Y. Anyhow, one
of the arrogant young factory technicians was making much of an
opposition piano's poster in which the hapless concert instrument was
shown in reverse - he was quite insulting about the image. However,
when we looked at the poster from his factory's promotional material,
the grand piano shown had its long lid prop in the short stick
socket. Poetic justice wouldn't you say?

Fortunately, we managed to resist the temptation to fall about the
floor laughing in like manner.
