The behavior of soundboards

 Ron,
     the last sentence of the previous post(entitled Anders
Askenfeldt)   should say:
.
 "With the soundboard held down by the  other strings, and the string
unable to remain effectively in contact with the bridge on the  upstroke
through poor clamping, and the strings all the while  attached to a
massive, stiff  bridge and relatively massive
soundboard, the string  simply  is not  able to operate as a force in
the manner you defend  so intently.
