Ok... heres something I dont understand that I am sure Ed can clear up for me. In ET the distance in M 3rds is always 13.7... add them all up and you get 178.1 cents. Why dont you get 178.1 cents when you add up the total differences for M 3rds in other temperaments ? Why does each temperament seem to have its own <Total cents differences>> for all the M 3rds in the octave ?? Curious...
