Claudia, You need a tip wrench for tightening those tips, and taking them off again. They are available from the supply houses. I am surprised they didn't try to sell yo one. :) When I use mine I put it on the floor and step on it. Not with my full weight, just enough to know that it will not come off even with Baldwin pins. :) Newton
