Ya gotta know the "Code"!

Just a little tidbit. Today, I went to glue up a bass bridge duplication and
started to apply the Titebond Glue. Whoa! The darn stuff was like stiff
snot! (sorry for the graphic description, but it was.) This bottle of
Titebond was a New one! (or so I thought.) I called the 800 number for
Franklin glues and was told the secret of their code! The number on the
bottle was 0F- - - - . The 0 (zero) stands for the year 2000 and the F
stands for June. The guy at Franklin said that the stuff is supposed to have
a 2-3 year shelf life. Obviously it's more like 2 years. So, I took it into
my local hardware store and they swapped with me. I was told by Franklin,
that if the hardware store wouldn't exchange it, then they would send me a
bottle.
Just thought you would all benefit from this, as a lot of you use Franklin
Titebond Glue.
It's really nice when a company stands behind their product, even when they
can't control things.
