LISTEN EVERYBODY! After YEARS of experimenting with
various aerosols for plate gilding, I found a
combination that REALLY looks great, and is EASY to
use!
1 ) After all filling, sanding, priming etc. of plate,
use.......... ( drum roll )........ DeRusto #611
Metallic Gold Leaf. Then, after a day to dry, topcoat
with Deft Gloss aerosol lacquer.
The topcoat will temporarily cause the undercoat
to look tan, but don't panic!!! When fully dry, it
will be FABULOUS, just the right color ( no greenish
tint! ) and DOES NOT DISTRURB THE METAL FLAKE IN THE
DeRusto underneath!!!!!
     To nice looking plates, ewverywhere!
