Hi John; If you absolutely, just have to get rid of the <'s, in Outlook Express anyways, just click on Tools>Options>Send>Plain Text Settings, then un-check the box that says to indent original text with <. Or you can leave the box checked and choose from a couple of other symbols that mean the same thing!! Hope that helps Benny L.
